 The 1990s for the UST Chemical Engineering Department is best represented by change of the department’s chairmanship from Sir Eduardo “Tatang”Ignacio to Maám Evelyn Ëvie”Laurito; a 1992 summa cum laude graduate, Ms. Ilian Chan, ChE Board topnotchers for the November 1992, May 1993, and November 1998 exams a Ms. Maja winner in the person of Ms. Jeanne Therese Hilario. In 1999, the Department was also accorded the “Center of Development Level II” distinction. There you go – a display of Thomasian service, intelligence and beauty – all in just one decade.
