The Fifth Decade

Batch 1938 – 1979

The BSChE Class of 1938 was the first and the last one to be graduated from the UST College of Liberal Arts.
The Chemical Engineering program was transferred to the Faculty of Engineering in academic-year (AY) 1938-1939,
during the administration of Engineering Dean Alberto Guevara. Named Head of the ChE Department for AY
1938-1939 was Salvador del Mundo, a holder of degrees in BS Chemistry and PhD.
