UST ChEAA 5th General Assembly and ChES 50th Anniversary 🎉
The Fifth General Assembly of the UST Chemical Engineering Alumni Association will take place on September 26, 2026, from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the 2nd Floor UST BGPOP Ballroom.
This assembly gathered together UST ChE Graduates from the 1950s to 2020s:
First Decades: 2010 – 2022
Second Decade: 2000 – 2009
Third Decade: 1990 – 1999
Fourth Decade: 1980 – 1989
Fifth Decades: 1950 – 1979
Congratulations new Thomasian Chemical Engineers 
The UST Chemical Engineering Alumni community congratulates the newly licensed Chemical Engineers for their successful performance in the November 2025 Computer-Based Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination, where the University ranked 7th among the Top-Performing Schools nationwide.

Jose Efren Bagamasbad, ChE Batch 79, proves that his chess prowess after defending his title of Asian Chess Champion  in the Asian Senior Chess Championships 2023. The competition was held at Tagaytay City last October. He gained another Chess Grandmaster title because of this effort.
Just like his accomplishment last year in New Zealand, he garnered a score of 7.5/9 points, taking the first place in the Over 65 category.
Representatives from the UST Department of Chemical Engineering and UST Department of Biochemistry showcased Thomasian excellence at the International Conference on Sustainable Science and Technology 2025 (ICSST) held at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on October 31–November 1, 2025.

The research paper titled “Electrochemical Characterization of Pseudomonas aeruginosa for Single-Chamber Microbial Fuel Cell Performance Using Cyclic Voltammetry,” authored by UST Chemical Engineering students K. Frances Marie C. Biola, Rainiel Mark N. Cawat, and Randmar B. Pinili, together with Prof. Myla R. Santiago-Bautista, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Cristina E. Tiangco, PhD, received the Best Poster Award at ICSST 2025.
